Not bad for a small town. I was visiting on a work trip. It’s a small meat market and restaurant. Nothing fancy but the food is pretty good. The ribeye and grilled chicken fried steak is flavorful. The chicken fried steak is huge.
We absolutely loved the food and service at this little gem of a restaurant! We were served by one of the owners and the other owner came around to everyone and offered a sample of one of their desserts. You must know I am a very particular cook myself that came with an entire family of people that are also particular because we all can cook and expect some good cooking. We had a large group of 9 with 5 kids and were seated immediately. She got our orders right. The bills were split correctly. She spoke to the kids and even they loved her. I ate the chicken fried steak Mae's way with white gravy. It was amazing and clearly fresh steak. The fried okra was definitely not out of a bag. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you are passing through or in the area, make sure to stop by. We ate there after hiking the Old Zoo Hiking Trail in Cisco. We all recommend you do too!
Great place! The service and downhome feel are great, and the menu and smell are great throughout (BBQ). Would go again!
Great meat market and cafe. Love their huge burgers on the most soft delicious jalapeño bun. Great hand dipped homemade onion rings. Their food is very good home style cooking; love the salad bar. Personally the only thing I’ve eaten that I did not care for was the chopped BBQ sandwich don’t get me wrong it’s not bad it’s just not the type of BBQ I prefer my husband however loved it so it’s just a personal preference. We love eating here and buying meat from their meat market.
Damn tasty club Sammie. Slab ham and slab turkey. Not just slices. Wonderfull atmosphere smells great in there as they are making and smoking meat at the meat market. And the onion rings nice and crispy. Judy had the grilled fish tacos. Great flavor.
This place was AWESOME!! Highly recommend. Great service super affordable and INCREDIBLE food!!
Hidden gem alert yooo!!! Made a pit stop on the way to Dallas for lunch and I was surprised wonderfully . Great service and hospitality and the vibe was amazing. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin steak...OMG it was one of the best steak I had so far and hands down the best cut of Sirloin I ever had. Perfectly made, tender, Juicy and the flavor was just on point. I tried the bacon wrapped asparagus for the first time and was blown away . You can also buy fresh cut of meat, seasonings, home made beef jerky, sausage, cheese....and many more. Its a great family run business. Will be back and definitely recommend .
